My Top 30 Korean Drama OSTs of 2016

Gosh our internet connection here in our house has been crappy lately. Anyway, Happy Lunar New Year! The Year of the Rooster has officially started so I wish us all good luck!

Today I'll share to you my Top 30 K-drama OSTs of 2016. K-dramas had made a very big impact here in Philippines last 2016 since Descendants of the Sun aired. Many Kdrama pages in Facebook popped out of nowhere. Some even asked me what are some other good series to watched, and I happily suggest them my favorites of course. As a Kpop and Kdrama fan, I am glad that happened but I lowkey hate it also. It's like we are just few who have been living in an unknown quiet planet and then all of a sudden the planet just became crowded because it became popular and people want to live there too because it's "popular". But well, I'm still thankful though because I can now fangirl without being judged.

So much of the intro part, here now are my Top 30 Kdrama OST's for 2016:

Disclaimer: This list consists of OST's from the dramas I watched. I might talk about the drama as well.

30. Monsta X - The Tiger Moth (from Shopping King Louie)

This drama was my stress reliever after I watched Scarlet Heart Ryeo. I love all the characters here and Louie and Boksil are sooo cute and innocent.

29. Umji (GFriend) - The Way (from Shopping King Louie)

Umji's voice is really cute, it fits the song and the characters in the drama very much.

28. Yezi & Jung Chaeyeon - Shadow (from Wanted)

This song is an exception. I haven't watched Wanted but I tried to listen to this because of Yezi and I just fell in love. And Chaeyeon's voice made this song sounds sad.

27. BTOB - For You (from Cinderella and Four Knights)

I know, the drama plot of this is very cliche but I still enjoyed this though.

26. EXO-CBX - For You (from Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

It's another FOR YOU! Gosh, I will talk about this drama later.

25. Han Hee Jung - Dream (from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo)

Ah~ This drama, I can't explain how I love this so much. It is very light but has many lessons. And Jung Joon Hyung is such an ideal guy.

24. Wendy & Seulgi - Don't Push Me (from Uncontrollably Fond)

I'll talk about this drama later too.

23. Taeyeon - All With You (from Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

22. Tearliner, 5urprise - Fill You, Erase You from (Cheese In The Trap)

I'm watching Cheese In The Trap again because I missed Kim Go Eun as Hong Seol. And the annoying characters still annoy me especially Baek In Ha. Gosh, Lee Sung Kyung is such a good actress. I also didn't realized earlier that Seo Kang Jun is a member of 5urprise.

21. Chen & Punch - Everytime (from Descendants Of The Sun)

Will talk about this later, too~

20. Kim Kyung Hee - And I'm Here (from Goblin)

Oh God, Dokkaebi. I'll talk about this later too.

19. Jung Joon Young - Where Are U (from W: Two Worlds)

This drama has a really unique plot. Props to writer-nim for being so creative. You can never guess what will happen next, it just keeps on surprising you.

18. Yoon Mirae - Always (froms Descendants Of The Sun)

Yoon Mirae is such a queen. She's the Rap Queen and OST Queen for me.

17. Bolbbalgan4 - Dream (from Hwarang)

This is also an exception. I haven't watched Hwarang yet, but come on, it's Bolbbalgan4!

16. Crush - Beautiful (from Goblin)

Almost everyone are complaining about how CJ E&M changed the original singer for this song. But Crush really did an amazing job here.

15. Lee Hi - My Love (from Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

14. Davichi - This Love (from Descendants Of The Sun)

13. Lee Sun Hee - Windflower (from Legend Of The Blue Sea)

This song is really sad. Their love story also is very sad. I haven't finished watching it yet but I know writer-nim made a happy ending for them because fans will freak out if not hehe. Anyway, this drama is very popular here in Philippines because hey, it's Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun, who can't resist them?

12. Basick, INKII - In The Illusion (from W: Two Worlds)

Songs like this are just my type, sad rap with sad singing voice, and the deep lyrics, it's just so beautiful.

11. Midnight Youth - Golden Love (from Uncontrollably Fond)

10. New Empire - A Little Braver (from Uncontrollably Fond)

Uncontrollably Fond may be so underrated but I don't care, I love how tragic this drama is. Woobin and Suzy played their roles very well. And it has a realistic ending.

9. Ailee - I Will Come To You As The First Snow (from Goblin)

This song is just so sad.

8. Tearliner, Kim Go Eun - Attraction (from Cheese In The Trap)

I never knew that Kim Go Eun sang this, I just found out super late. Never thought she had an angelic voice, now I have more reasons to love her! Anyway, Tearliner had made an amazing job for Cheese In The Trap OSTs. CITT is one of my top fave dramas because it's like a YA novel (which is my favorite novel genre). The main characters are both not perfect, and because of that they complete each other. I'm not very satisfied with the ending though so that's why I decided after I finish re-watching this series, I will read it's webtoon because it's still ongoing.

7. Heize & Han Soo Ji - Round And Round (from Goblin)

When I first heard this song, I actually wanted a full version immediately. And it's not just me, almost all who watched Goblin waited for it. When it was released, many were disappointed because it sounded different, including me. Well, I like Heize and I know this is not her fault but in my opinion Han Soo Ji's voice suited the song more. It's still very good though. That's why it's in number 7.

6. Beige & Hwang Chi Yeul - I Miss You (from Moonlight Drawn By Clouds)

Yes, I like both versions. To be honest, I stopped watching this drama on episode 16 because I was too focused on watching Scarlet Heart. One sad drama is enough for me that time. But I plan on finishing it, I just don't know when 😇

5. Mad Clown ft. Kim Na Young - Once Again (from Descendants Of The Sun)

I was so hyped to watch Song Joongki again in a drama. I was very happy when he came back from the military and will be having a drama with Song Hye Kyo. I never thought DOTS would be so popular internationally esp. here in PH. I just love this so much despite the hate they gave. Jin Goo and Jiwon's characters are very adorable also. 

4. Epik High ft. Lee Hi - Can You Hear My Heart (from Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

3. Chanyeol & Punch - Stay With Me (from Goblin)

2. Lim Sun Hae - Will Be Back (from Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

Only God knows how much tears I cried throughout this drama. I really thought this drama was fun at first, turned out to be very tragic, but despite that I still watched it till the end. I really don't like the ending though because I hate open endings. And this song, gosh, there really is something in this song because whenever I hear this, my heart just aches, remembering all the deaths that happened. 

1. Sam Kim - Who Are You (from Goblin)

This song is everything.

After CITT, I watched some movies which starred Kim Go Eun. And hell, she's a very versatile actress and suddenly became my favorite actress. So I was very happy when she was chosen as the lead actress for Goblin together with Gong Yoo. And not just that, also Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, and Yook Sungjae are in this drama so I was way more excited. Every episode of Goblin never disappoints me. I really thought Grim Reaper would be the bad guy here but nah, he and Goblin are so adorable whenever they fight childishly. And for Goeun and Sungjae, I am just so proud of them both. The plot, the OSTs, the characters, are so on point in this drama and I'm so glad it has a happy ending.

My TOP 60 KOREAN SONGS for 2016

Oraenmaniya chinggudeuls! Can't remember the last time I posted here. I'm just too lazy nowadays especially that I am already employed. But since it's end of the year, I want to make a list of the songs that got stuck on me this year. Yes, as you can read on my title, below is my Top 60 Korean Songs for the year 2016 *woot woot* These are songs released from January 1 to this day, December 30, 2016. It's really so hard ranking the songs. Some are even not included since I need to pick only 60 songs. It's so hard to be a multi-fangirl guys. And this does not include OSTs, FYI, I'll be making a separate list for that.

This song is from their mini-album NEW MEN. I really like this song because Ilhoon is singing the chorus. I told you this list is biased (lol). But c'mon, this song is really good.

Noona Neo Malya by CROSS GENE

I actually love their mini album PLAY last year so I'm really excited about their next mini album GAME, but really, I got a little disappointed especially when they released the YIN YANG album. The song that stuck on me from their songs this year is just Noona Neo Malya, I'll Be Fine, and Love Game. I still love Cross Gene and Yongseok though <3

You Bad! Don't Make Me Cry by MATILDA

I feel really sad when Kiss&Cry disbanded. Their debut song Domino Game is very lit af. They can be compared to Mamamoo TBH. So I'm very glad that Haena debuted again. Matilda's Macarena is so okay, Summer Again is really good but I tend to forget about it that's why it's not included in this list, this one is very good and have a really chill vibes. And Saebyeol is really pretty, she's my bias.

Yezi is my ultimate female bias next to IU and I'm so happy that she's now recognized and Fiestar. Though not really since LOEN is shitty in promoting their artists SMH. I love History and Fiestar but they are just so underrated. I want to tell the world how awesome they are!

I love their Black Label album so much. I'm kinda disappointed with A Delicate Sense, I only like the song Mirror. And their single Apple Pie is really catchy. Gosh, I hope they'll comeback with a full album soon. Fiestar fighting!

I'm so sorry. I know many are saying that this song should win an award but for me this song just doesn't last on my head, I can't even remember the tune unless it's played. But their choreography is really great, as usual from GFriend, they have some awesome choreographer and props to them for slaying the choreo given to them.

Discovering Bolbbalgan4 is been the greatest feeling I had in my 2016. When I was playing an IOI song in Youtube (thanks IOI btw lol), it's on Autoplay so it automatically play their next recommended songs until it played this song! I immediately checked Youtube what it was playing and it's them. I listened to their full album, and all songs are amazing! Those who don't know them yet, you should check them out now! They were even nominated as Best New Female Artist in MAMA2016, sadly though they didn't won.

Hell yeah it's another song from Bolbbalgan4! I think Galaxy is what made them popular, but I love this song more than Galaxy. This song is my most played song in my phone so need I say more? I badly want to put all their songs in this list but I have other priorities also haha. Anyways, Jiyoung's voice is so aesthetic I love it so much and Jiyoon should sing/rap more though.

Girl Groups Invasion!

Lately, my mind's been invaded with girl groups' songs I almost forgot that Exo had made their comeback!

Since the comeback of 4minute, Fiestar and Red Velvet, I really didn't thought that more girl groups will come back or debut. Added to my favorite girl groups now are CLC, The Ark, and Oh My Girl. And gosh OMG has 8 members with similar faces (haha) I think it would take time to remember who's who. I already knew Binnie since she's the only short-haired one, and Seunghee because of her eye brows (hehe).

I love 4minute! But their recent songs really did not caught my attention until this one! And that Jihyun part! That's the sexiest Jihyun I have seen.

Fiestar - You're Pitiful and Today

I'm so happy for Fiestar! After 3 years, they've made their first mini album! For the information of you all, Fiestar is my #1 bias girl group. Sadly, they are so underrated :( But I still love and support them! I like all their songs but my most favorite songs are Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and Today.

Red Velvet - Ice Cream Cake

 

Welcome to the group, Yeri! And because of this comeback of them, my new bias from RV is now Seulgi! She's so pretty and I like her eyes.

Crayon Pop - FM

Crayon Pop is cute as always! And weird... But still cute! 

Miss A - Only You and Love Song

 

Almost everybody are hating on Suzy because she has many parts in Only You. But I really don't care as long as the song is very good. Haha! And Love Song too, I like its chorus.

SNSD - Catch Me If You Can

I posted the Japanese Version since its sounds better for me. The song is not that catchy but what keeps me listening is the chorus since I'm a fan of EDM.

EXID - Ah Yeah

I know EXID since their song I Feel Good cuz that song is really good. But I didn't bother to know the members, and now I regret it! LE is now on my bias list! I really wish that Fiestar would become like them, unnoticed at first but now so popular.
 

Now let's proceed to debut songs...

CLC - Pepe

The title is awkward since "Pepe" in Filipino slang is a genital part of a woman. But oh, it's also the nickname of PH's national hero! At first I really don't like the song but I found myself being in LSS to this so, yeah. And their attitudes are just like any other CUBE artists, cute and cheerful.

The Ark - The Light

The MV made me cry! I remember the Sewol accident that happened last year. And it's a great debut song, not like the ordinary girl group debut songs.

Pocket Girls - Bbang Bbang

Just like SNSD's Catch Me If You Can, Bbang Bbang is not really the best song but what keeps my attention is the chorus. It's just that in chorus, I think the 'uhh' and the 'bbang bbang' are not necessary. Well anyway, good luck for them.

Oh My Girl - Cupid

This is what I'm talking about! They all look the same to me and they are so many. Haha! Unlike their sunbaes with 5 members only. But I will look forward to them since they are from WM where my babies are. And the song is really catchy, I like the background beat, the chorus, the rap, and Binnie! Binnie is just so cute.

This is not a negative opinion but I really think that XOXO is better that EXODUS. My favorite songs in this album are Call Me Baby, Exodus, El Dorado, and Hurt only. I'm not saying the other songs are bad, it's just that they do not catch my attention. Please don't hate me EXO-Ls :( But well, this album was really another success for them. I can see them winning many trophies AGAIN. I just wish EXO won't overwork too much and take care of their health and body.

Plot:

"Hot Road" depicts sad and fierce love between 14-year-old Kazuki and 16-year-old Hiroshi.

Kazuki Miyaichi (Rena Nounen) lives with her mother. Kazuki does not like her mother’s boyfriend and she feels that she is not loved by her mother. This leads Kazuki to get into trouble.

Hiroshi Haruyama (Hiroomi Tosaka) is a troubled kid who does part-time jobs for a living instead of going to school. He is a member of the motorcycle gang “Nights”. (AsianWiki.com)

***THIS REVIEW MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS***

So yeah I just watched it last night. First off, i'd like to say that Kazuki, the main girl character, really looked like Rainie Yang sometimes. And the boy, Haruyama, he may not be one of the typical flower boys i've seen on some japanese movies, but trust me he's hot! He sometimes remind me of Dongwoo from Infinite or Shinee's Jonghyun, IDK why. And let me remind you guys this is my first movie review so pls bear with me. x o x o

Thanks to this movie I woke up like a panda! My eyes are so heavy from crying last night. At first I really thought this movie's boring cuz i really can't understand Kazuki. I thought she has a psychological problem, rly. She barely talks and she's too innocent and she hates her mother. But then I realized, she's in mid-school so she's in adolescence stage and is lack of attention. And then tada! Here comes Haruyama! The leader of the motorcycle gang, The Nights. I dont know if they rly meant "knights". Well, he's really not the leader until Tooru passed his throne to Haru. It's very sudden how they became a couple but it doesn't matter. What matter is how they loved each other.

Kazuki ran away from her mother and lived with Hiroko, Tooru's girlfriend but then Hiroko disappeared with Tooru so Kazuki now lived with Haru. And later on Haru helped Kazuki to go back to her mom. And she now (kinda) accepts Suzuki, her mom's lover. At first, Haru rly thought of Kazuki as just one of his girls but she's too pure. He can't even lay a hand on her. Like Kazuki said, when they started living together Haru is always kinda busy but it's really because he's conscious about her. How cute! And then the night came when The Nights and the enemy gang must meet for their glorious fight, Kazuki showed up at Haru's house not rly knowing about the fight. Haru asked her to buy a drink and then he left to fight. I really thought, he would die because of the fight, but there's no fight happened that night.

Since Haru's late, The Nights got caught by the police and when Haru goes to them he saw the police and he U-turned and then bam! He got hit by a big truck. He flew 5 meters away. He's not dead yet but he suffered a lot of injuries and the doctor said they should be prepared for what would happen next. While Haru is in the hospital fighting for life, here's Kazuki not eating and talking and cuz of that she was also hospitalized. But well, Haru regained consciousness! Haru's younger brother scolded Kazuki that his brother said that he doesn't wanna die because of her. (I'm glad he's willing to live because of Kazuki.) She remembered what Suzuki told her that her life is important to Haru too and then realized her mistake and endlessly asked for forgiveness. Later on, Haru got discharged from the hospital but his left arm and leg are now paralyzed. In the end of the movie, we found out that Hiroko and Tooru will have a baby soon and they're living a new life. Kazuki also pursued her studies and Haruyama's still can't walk better but he got back to his work.

The End.
I'll give this movie 3 thumbs up
